Many of you know that I have been involved in suicide prevention efforts since I began as a graduate assistant in a program called the Hawaii Caring Systems Initiative (HCSI) in the University of Hawaii's Office of Public Health. As a clinical social worker, I have been able to help individuals that suffer from suicidal ideation. In my role with HCSI, I have had the chance to do research that looks at the problem from systems perspective. You can see my previous post to learn more about what I have been working on (and I'd like to encourage you to look at the slide deck below my poster presentation as it walks through my line of thinking).
I love doing research and working with the HCSI team, but I haven't been getting out of my comfort zone and attending events. I plan to get better about that!
With that said, I'm trying to raise at least $150 leading up to the Out of Darkness Walk that's happening on 9/10/22. If you do or don't have money to donate I'd love to see some friendly faces joining the walk.
To donate (even $1!) please 👉🏽 click here to be taken to my fundraising page. 💜
